Thanks for adding your picture Brittany… I love putting a face with a name!
Great job on the show! Loved it. Excited to see a few recipes that my husband will be willing to try!
Wow, thank you all so much for your encouraging comments.. it means the world!
What a great show! My husband and I are now ready for Phase 1 and watching the show made me ready to start cooking. It all looked so good and healthy and even easy! Thanks!
Sorry I missed the show but my brother in law was having surgery and I thought it was taping but it wasn’t. I will have to see if I can watch it online but I am on dial-up and it could take forever to load. Is there anywhere else the recipes are do you have them on this website?
Thanks,
Kathy W.
No worries Kathy, the show should definitely be airing again in the future, so keep an eye out for it! I hope your brother-in-law is doing well after his surgery. You can find some of the recipes on my site, just go to the recipe tab where all my recipes are archived. For a full list of all the recipes that aired on “Know The Cause” click here. Hugs, Kristin
The link to the show video doesn’t seem to be working.
Oh yes you are right, sorry. The shows are only on the site for a few weeks after they air. It will be re-airing this coming Monday, February 13th. I will post the new link here and send a reminder on Facebook and Twitter.
Thanks for letting me know Sharon, I appreciate it!
Kristin, can you tell me the places to get the right beef and chicken, some sites say things I am not sure about. I know some of what to look for but not sure about organic feed which has corn and soy.
Thanks for your help.
Debbie
I know… finding truly healthy animal products can be so confusing and hard to come by! Ideally you would look for organic, grass fed and grass finished. I often will call a company and ask if they supplement with any grains. They usually do. If you can find a local farm, sometimes that is your best bet at finding what you’re looking for. Just do the best you can, the reality is that we will be eating animal products supplemented with grain. I try to always make getting organic a priority if I can. Thanks Debbie!
Put a face to the name: Evelyn M Ford
Thanks, for your love and support
I always love to put a face with the name, thanks Evelyn… you’re beautiful!
Hi Kristin
I went out to whole foods today and purchased a lot of the foods that you recommended for the phase 1&2 diet I’m overwhelmed with it all but I’m sure I will master it. Also, I looked into the supplements that you recommend and they are pretty expensive, what do you recommend i should buy first to get started?
Sincerely,
Evelyn
Hi Evelyn! I know it can be overwhelming to change your eating, but it will become habit. It always seems like it overtakes your life in the beginning, but if you push past that part it gets so much easier, I promise!
For supplements: A probiotic is a must. I also like Nordic Naturals fish oil and a rotation of anti-fungals like, olive leaf extract, oil of oregano, pau d’ arco, etc. This is my favorite trio to start with. Hugs, Krsitin
Hi Kristin
I apologize for the emails but I was watching Dr. Oz and he suggesting taking 7 keto and Forskolin to help with weightloss, I wanted to know what’s your opinion on that…..
I hope is ok to continue to ask questions,I am new at this and trying to learn, but is flaxseed meal a grain or not, had trouble understanding the things I read, they call it a whole grain, and I really dont know if that is grain or good not grain.
Thanks Debbie
Be blessed Jesus is comming soon!
Yes absolutely Debbie… your questions will help lots of people! Flax is technically a seed and a wonderful addition to a healthy diet as long as you grind it before adding it to your food. If you don’t grind it is harder for the body to digest and benefit from the nutrients.
Chia seeds are another one of my favorites, in fact I almost prefer these over flax now, but both tare fantastic! You do not need to grind chia in order to benefit from them. Click here for all the benefits of chia and how to use it!
I’ve been enjoying your recipes since I first saw you on Know The Cause. I have been a FUPOhead for about 4 years now. A comment: Tomorrow is NOT January 10th!:-) and I think I tuned in that day to watch the Phase 1 Special.
Thanks for your work.
Yes, I apologize this post was sent out recently by accident for a second time, you have to love computers! Sorry for any confusion. Blessings, Kristin
Still enjoying the Know the cause show, I think you all are awesome and helping so many, my question is if the quinoa pasta on your pantry is not a grain and no sugars and no wheat, no soy, can you tell me why it is phase 2?
Thanks Debbie
Hi Debbie! The Andean Dream quinoa pasta that I love is Phase 2 because it is not 100% quinoa, it has some rice mixed into it. It’s delicious, very similar to regular pasta!
Make sure you read the labels on everything because the front of packages can be deceptive. There are other “quinoa” pastas that are mostly made from corn. Great question!
Kristin, are oaks a grain, I got some fit food portein from Ted Broer, for breakfast and I sa it has oak bran in it, I have looked it up but all I see call it a grain, not knowing if oak bran is the same.
Thanks so much Debbie
Sorry, its oat bran, I spelled it wrong
Debbie
Hi Kristin,
I have a question about Dairy. I sent it in to know the cause but I’m afraid I might miss it being addressed. I don’t have a problem with dairy and I drink raw milk. Is that okay for phase 1, 2, or 3 and btw, what is phase 3?
